Programs in Jorhat

JBF (INDIA) TRUST has put its first step in the Upper Assam district of Jorhat today on 22nd May 2011 by opening an Animal Relief Centre. The Superintendent of Police of Jorhat, Dr. (Ms.) Sanjukta Prashar, while inaugurating the centre highly commended the effort and wished that it will go a long way in taking care of animal health to the stray animals in and around  Jorhat and said that any necessary help and support from the Dept. of police, Jorhat will be always there. The inaugural function was attended by a good number of animal lovers.

Dr. Sashanka, the Managing Trustee, gave a brief outline of JBF (INDIA) TRUST and its activities. He also informed that the Jorhat centre will provide free rabies vaccination to stray animals and attend calls on NE Helpline No.9954449528 for any matter relating to healthcare of community (stray) animals.  On concluding he said that this is the beginning and there is long way to march on and also spread the message that support and participation from general public is very important.
