JBF Pet Care

JBF Pet care Unit has started functioning since 1 st April 2009 at 56, Uttara Complex, Survey, Beltola, Guwahati – 781028, Assam, India. The OPD Hours (Service by 3 experienced Vet) are from Monday to Saturday – 08.00 A.M. to 12.00 P.M. & 04.00 P.M. to 08.00 P.M. Sunday on Appointments priority – 08.00 A.M. to 08.00 P.M.

The primary objective of the unit is to help relieve suffering of the Homed animals. This provides consultancy for Homed, Semi-homed animals and the minimum consultation fee received from the clients is accepted as donation and utilized for the various welfare activities at the JBF Animal Relief Centre. To promote the adoption of local animals (Dogs) there are many facilities that are provided free.

Facilities: Pet Care Unit

Treatment cell: Thetreatment cell provides consultancy and treatment to homed , semihomed animals besides assisting Animal Mobile Clinic & Animal Relief Centre in the treatment of animals requiring intensive care and observation.

Out Patient Department(OPD): Equipped with Veterinarians and Assistants, the treatment cell is providing much needed service to the needy animal either homed, semi-homed or homeless on weekdays. The OPD provides vaccination at discounted price.

Operation Theater: Some minor surgeries and animal birth control operations are performed in the centre.

Accessories: Some dog accessories such as belts, chain, balls, dog toys etc are kept in the Pet Care Unit so that these accessories are easily accessible for animal keepers. These accessories when used give comfort to the animals and provide convenience to keepers.

Dog food: Some branded dog food are kept in the relief centre. These dog food are sold to the keepers of homed dogs. Revenue earned is used for welfare of homeless animals. Also these dog food are demonstrated to the visiting dog keepers to generate awarness on need of balanced food for homed dogs.
