Students Awareness
An education program is being carried out in several schools regularly throughout the year. Members visit the schools to help the children learn about animal welfare and pet care. Activities include topics on pet care, human-animal interaction, art, drama and visits to zoos, animal parks and animal shelters, animal welfare organizations, to make the learning creative and enjoyable. Also organizes drawing competition amongst the children with central theme of untold suffering of animals and their welfare activities from time to time. It aims to develop in young growing generation a sense of responsibility towards animals, humans and towards the environment which leads to a global welfare.
The program has been well accepted and is expanding s ince its inception. The education and awareness drive have the main objectives such as…
- To promote animal welfare education at school.
- To provide technical support to school teachers to implement animal welfare activities.
- To promote human-animal interaction as part of child development.
- To create and encourage a wider awareness on concept of animal welfare and respect for all living creatures.
- To gain public, national, international support for animal welfare education.
Outcome of the project:
The project has better positive response and help build the young growing generation in following way:-
- To create respect for all living creatures.
- To strengthen the principle of treating others with consideration and respect.
- To provide better understanding of the world where co-existence of human and animal is symbiotic.
- To develop caring attitude towards animal, human and environment contributing to global welfare.
- To raise awareness on stray/abandoned animal, increasing stray dog population, animal abuse, cruelty in the society.
- To enhance creativity, development of moral values through different activities such as art, drawing competitions, drama etc.
