Awareness & Education Program

By taking up some planned awareness activities such as distribution of thematic film CDs on suffering of animals in different habitat, postcards, leaflets, signature campaigns, conducting meetings amongst stakeholders (animal keepers and animal lovers), organizing free health check up and vaccination camps JBF(INDIA) creates awareness amongst the government agencies, officials and the cattle keepers.

JBF(INDIA) also organizes different activities such as drawing competition amongst school children on theme of sufferings of animals and their welfare activities, thematic speech to build awareness amongst the school children.

Humane Dog & Rabies Management – Education program at Delhi, Guwahati & Nagaon

Awareness among the children and public are created by observing various important days like World Rabies Day, World Zoonoses day, Animal Welfare Week etc. During these important days at different public places and also to school children leaflets for control of rabies, what to do and what not to do if dog bites are distributed. Also lectures are delivered in different schools about caring of pet, farm animals and management of stray dogs etc. Workshops from time to time targeting general public audience and veterinarians are organized and group discussion about animal welfare activities, rabies management, waste management, animal birth control operations, its benefits etc. are held.

Besides, in this drive at different pockets of Greater Guwahati city, Nagoan, stray dogs are given anti-rabies vaccines. In collaboration with other organizations free roaming dogs are given anti-rabies vaccines in different pockets of Delhi.
