The Vision

Help building a prospective society through animal welfare where co-existence of human and animal is symbiotic.

The beginning of JBF(INDIA) was by providing veterinary service to the suffering animals in the streets of Delhi (Kotla Mubarakpur area) by Dr. Sashanka Sk. Dutta under the patronage of founder trustee of JBF(Scotland) Mr. Jonny Krause during the year 2003. The animal welfare activities of JBF(INDIA) was further organized and intensified with more hands joined JBF(INDIA) . The credibility of JBF(INDIA)started to build up, confidence gathered and goal was redefined and reassured.

JBF(INDIA) is running a Mobile Cattle Clinic at Delhi, a Mobile Animal Clinic and an Animal Relief Centre, a Dog Population Management program (ABC Unit)  at Guwahati, an Animal Rescue centre at Bihpuria, an Animal Rescue Centre at Jorhat and also country wide advocacy and awareness campaign. At present JBF(INDIA) is receiving invitation from different parts of India (specially North eastern part) to start animal welfare activities of JBF(INDIA) in those places. Responding to one such invitation JBF(INDIA) collaborated with a group of activist lead by Dr. Rupok Kr. Nath of Nagaon, Assam, for dissemination of Animal Welfare awareness amongst the masses.

With the major objective to involve itself into welfare of animals, JBF(INDIA) undertake various activities to minimize suffering of animals by providing veterinary care, facilitate more bearable and adorable life to animals and work for Animal Welfare.
